Robinson Crusoe is a story written by Daniel Defoe in 1719. Although this novel is not well known, many know the story from the modern film “castaway”. The film Castaway premiered in 2000 and wowed film critics. However, not all the talk about this modern film has been positive. Many viewers really enjoyed this adventure film about a man stranded on an island, but others were disappointed by the changes made to the film compared to the original story Robinson Crusoe. Robinson Crusoe is the story of a young man who decides to disobey his father's wishes. to be a lawyer and to embark on a journey at just nineteen. After a long turbulent journey, the ship he is on is shipwrecked during a strong storm. Even if this happens, he still longs to be at sea so badly that he decides to set out to sea again. Once again his expedition ends in catastrophe as the ship he is on is overtaken by pirates and Crusoe becomes a slave. After two years of slavery, Crusoe and another slave named Xury manage to escape on a ship bound for Brazil. After settling down and having success with a tobacco plantation, he decides to go get slaves from Africa to bring back to help him. But once again he is caught in a storm and is shipwrecked on an island that will later be known as the Island of Despair. Crusoe managed to be the only survivor of this shipwreck and is left to fight alone. Crusoe decides to return to the wreck of the ship and collect useful supplies. Find tools, food, ammunition and other supplies. He finds an empty cave on the island that he uses as his home. Then create a calendar by taking some wood, making a cross and marking a notch on it for each day it gets stuck. Using the supplies he took from... middle of paper... going to see Kelly, they confess their love for each other but realize that a future together would be unmanageable due to his promise to his new family. Chuck and Kelly part ways, and Kelly gives Chuck the keys to the car they once shared. Chuck buys a new volleyball and goes to the countryside to return the unopened FedEx package to the sender. The house he arrives at is empty, so Chuck places the package on the porch near the door along with a note stating that the package helped save his life. Chuck then leaves and as he stops at an intersection along the way a woman passing by in a truck stops to tell Chuck where each road leads. As he drives away, Chuck notices that the picture on the back of his truck is exactly the same as the one on the package. Chuck is left scanning each street and then in the direction of the woman who leaves in the truck.
