Should firearms be banned in Canada? Give 3 reasons why and 1 against English ISUI. It may be that firearms are used for violent purposes, but it is necessarily true, firearms have been around for decades and the first gun can be recorded in 1232. They have been used in numerous wars which gave us our freedom as a country proud. First of all it is a fact that Canada has far less gun crime than our neighbors, it is also our second amendment right to bear arms. Weapons aren't really something that can pop up and go away at a moment's notice, it's kind of a big deal. Secondly, not all places in the world are crime-ridden and/or populated with careless people. People in Canada are lucky and have a really good education system which in turn helps prevent the growth of a potential psychopathic person. Furthermore, people should not be judged for the crimes of a single person who is not mentally stable. Canadian citizens are indeed known to be some of the kindest people in the world. Finally, Canadian firearms laws are proven to be extremely strict. Overall, guns have never been a big problem in Canada, crimes are still committed but it is impossible to stop them. Firearms should remain legal in Canada, but they should remain very difficult to obtain. People need something to use to hunt, defend themselves and their families, taking away that leave that makes people in Canada vulnerable. Here are some arguments in favor of the defense; If firearms were completely illegal in Canada, it would dramatically reduce all gun-related crimes to a bare minimum. Firearms are the third leading cause of death among youth in Canada. However completely removing firearms in Canada is like... middle of paper... in this free country there is no access to them. Children are obviously not smart enough to fully know what a gun can do to someone and even their family. Guns in Canada will probably never be banned in Canada because it's not something that needs to be done. Sure, firearms regulations can change here and there to make them safer for everyone, but they would never be big enough to remove them completely. Hence comes the constitutional right to, and a way to, earn a living. Firearms are too valuable in this country to be removed because that would only lead to more problems. Does it really make sense to solve one problem only to have many others? In conclusion, firearms are too important to Canadian citizens, which means they should not be removed from this sacred country and the land of the “free”.
