I have a six year old brother, who knows an entire song written when his parents were teenagers! I'm sure you've heard it. It's in multiple movies and I've heard it at almost every dance I've ever been to. “Pour Some Sugar On Me” is one of the most famous songs of all time, and it's almost in its twentieth year of release! That's twenty years, for a song that's worth more than a lifetime. Most songs today are forgotten by the end of the year they were made. The band that sings the song, Def Leppard, also made the song and many others like it, it's equally amazing! It was said in "People" magazine that they "... believe they are one of the most important forces in rock music." These contributions to music demonstrated by Def Leppard's career prove beyond a doubt that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should induct this band. Their value of this award is demonstrated by their charity, their background and their professionalism ("Def Leppard Awards and Nominations.")! Def Leppard are known around the world for many different reasons, charity, professionalism and their background are just a few of the names. I'm sure there's a lot more, but I actually think these three are all we need to make sure they get included. Being so young when they started, the first thing I want to start with is their willingness to help others. One band member, drummer Rick Allen, who lost an arm in his early years in the band, has his own charity (The Raven Drum Foundation)! Not only do they have this charity, but they support many others, and most of the ones they support are for our country's troops (and they're not even from the US). With so many awards they have already received and the hundred......middle of paper......they have things we can enjoy and be smart about them so as not to ruin them. It has been said by many different people that "the members of Def Leppard... have become both a backbone and an inspiration for many emerging artists..." which means that people look up to the members of Def Leppard and (yes hopes) they will also behave like them. It's important that we have these kind of bands, the ones that don't try to be the cool kids and give us good influences. (Spitznagel) Some might say they are not worthy of this award because they refuse to condone what others think they should do. That's what makes them so great. They act as they think they should. This is what makes me think they should be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. For reasons of charity, background and professionalism, and for many other reasons; Def Leppard should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
