Topic > The Mountain by Robert Frost - 678

Robert Frost writes poems that always seem to contain a deeper message than what the eyes can read. Throughout this poem, Robert Frost uses descriptive terms and dialogue to convey a story. The mountains are very steep and require a lot of work and dedication to get to the top. Mountains can be compared to fears throughout this poem. You want to overcome fears just like you want to get to the top of the mountain. Robert Frost has many themes throughout his poetry. Three of the themes of this poem are the description of the mountain, the manipulation of the farmer, and the actions of man. Frost knows the right ways to take someone on a trip. Nature is commonly known as one of Robert Frost's favorite topics to write about. Being able to deeply describe nature in a way that people love is something Frost has mastered. Nature is something beautiful and most people take it for granted. The scenery is also a very important part of “The Mountain”. The scenery makes nature a very beautiful place, as if it wasn't already. Everything surrounding the mountains is beautiful. Robert Frost often talks about nature. The grass around the mountains makes them stand out better. Robert Frost is deeply in love with nature and often expresses those emotions. Frost talks about how the seasons are backwards saying "It's always cold in the summer, warm in the winter." The mountains are surrounded by steam in winter, making it a beautiful sight. There are bushes running along the river banks near the mountains. The descriptive words used throughout the poem provide amazing insight into both the mountains and the surrounding environment. Although nature is something that is talked about for the majority of the poem, the setting is...... the center of the card.... ...very observant and curious. Robert Frost is great at describing something and the way he describes the visitor is amazing. Never let someone manipulate you into doing something you're not sure should be done. The visitor to the city seemed like a very respectful man. Was he a businessman? How did he have enough time to wander around the city and end up in a different place? Many questions come to mind. This particular businessman seems very stubborn. He won't let some random person tell him what to do. “The Mountain” is a piece by Robert Frost that integrates descriptive details, man-to-man manipulation, and resulting actions. Throughout the poem the idea comes to mind that the mountain spoken of could represent an obstacle in life. People face different things every day and have to find a way to weather the storm.
