The world is always looking for new inventions that revolutionize the way humans go about their daily lives. Recently it's the turn of computers and the Internet. The next big thing will probably be 3D printing, although no one can say for sure. Many things can be done with a 3D printer, although a certain type of printer is required to print some things. Regular 3D printers use heated ABS or PLS to create beautiful creations. With a 3D printer it can enable rapid prototyping for companies. It's much faster than having a company do it which can take a couple of days instead of a couple of hours. There are 3D printers in development that allow doctors to create a heart, lung or other organs created from a person's genetic tissue. . At Cornell University, researchers have succeeded in creating an ear. In San Diego there is a module that shows the work done printing human livers. Scottish scientists are attempting to print masses of human embryonic stem cells that would be useful for further research into topics such as drugs to test for cancer. Researchers are attempting to create a functioning heart using 3D printers. A woman had a condition in which her skull was becoming too large: instead of the normal 1.5 cm her skull was about 5 cm. This was causing the woman, among other things, a loss of motor skills. He also had memory problems. The doctors had printed a skull, this allowed the woman to return to life normally. Since the cells used come from the person needing a transplant, there is little to no chance of rejection by the body. It is hoped that one day they can be used to give a better life to those who would otherwise not live well, if someone had a defective heart they will be able to print a new one with little or no chance of rejection, or if someone who would not have it now they will be able to get food nutritious they will be able to have food cartridges that can help them eat so they don't become malnourished, or if there is just one student who wants to learn about engineering and circuitry they can build one and use it for educational purposes as well as recreational purposes.
