Why do people want to live in a perfect world? Everyone wants to live in their own fantasy world because that's where all their dreams can come true. Nobody wants a world of pain and suffering. Life should be lived to the fullest. It shouldn't be wasted. It should be embraced. When we are faced with agony, we must choose between accepting it or hiding it. In the play “A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams, the author mainly focuses on Blanche Dubois, a woman who moved to her sister's house due to the loss of Belle Reve, her family's home. He is a deceitful and selfish person, who cannot accept the occurrence of agony in his life. He deteriorates mentally due to the loss and rejection of love and due to his selfishness. He chooses to hide from the truth. When an individual hides from reality, the result will only be that he or she will get hurt. At the beginning of the show, Blanche is already having a nervous breakdown while drinking the wine she found at Stella's house. He was using it to calm his nerves. When Stanley returned home from bowling, he had a conversation with her. At the end of the scene, he asks her about her husband. He started to break down as he says, “The boy – the boy is dead; (He collapses) I'm afraid that... I'll get sick! [His head falls on his arms],” (p. 31). This means that her husband's death caused her to go into depression. She is unstable whenever he reminds her of her husband. She had some memories with her husband that she couldn't forget and that made her really sad. It is later revealed in the play that her husband was with another man. He killed himself because of his revulsion towards her. She states "suddenly entering a room that I but... middle of paper... someone who is not. Everyone experiences difficult moments in their lives. The outcome will depend on how you deal with these obstacles. Blanche was devastated when her husband died, but she chose not to accept it, which is why she only hurt herself to find another love to cover her empty heart, but in the end she deluded him and hurt herself even more act like he's living a perfect life and like he's better than everyone else, but this caused her grave ruin. Lies can never be hidden forever, and once revealed, she could hide nowhere and was forced to face the horrible consequences she created reality can sometimes be challenging, but if you learn to face and overcome these challenges, reality won't be so terrible.
