Students learning history might say that James Wolfe could have had the best way of being in the military, but in reality William Pitt did. William Pitt was usually involved in parliament or government. When he wasn't working on government issues, he was devising new military strategies. William Pitt was known for leading the English to victory in the Seven Years' War. Another way to say that Pitt was better in the military is that he also helped in the Austrian war. The final reason would be that his plan was to send James Wolfe and Jeffery Amherst to retake the fortress of Louisbourg. The Seven Years' War was a big problem for the French, the Indian nations, and the English. William helped the most in this conflict and made Britain win. I can say this because on page 122, (the last paragraph) of the textbook "The American Journey", it states that "the fortunes of Great Britain improved after William Pitt came to power..." This shows that William Pitt he had the techniques to defeat the Frenchman. But people might say it made things worse, because...
