Music plays a very important role in our life. Music is the essence of life; therefore, people can relate to society or even be libertarian of their actions. Victor Hugo is considered one of the greatest and best-known French writers, who once said “Music expresses what cannot be said and about which it is impossible to remain silent”. Basically Victor Hugo points out that music can simply be a mood or feeling that does not necessarily have to contain lyrics. However, I can relate to my freshman year of high school, where "B-boying", also called break dancing, was my hobby. Where I freely expressed my feelings without fear and intentionally avoided impressing others, which is very suggested by Victor Hugo's quote, since he talked about how music does not contain lyrics and is still music with an expression that can be used in dance. In The Moonlight” by toploader is my choice of music, as it brought to mind so many important pasts in my life, such as changing my life from an introvert to an extrovert during high school life. In fact, “Dancing in the moonlight” by toploaders was music that got me into bboying and created a path for me throughout high school. During my freshman year of high school I was lowly, not interacting at all with most students. I had very low self esteem, most of my best friends in middle school went to different high schools. I didn't know what to do at that time because my parents forced me to go to another high school called “Eagle Rock High”. My parents believed that a high school called "John Marshall High" was a ghetto high school; so, I was forced to enroll in a school called "Eagle Rock High", I felt lonely since all my friends were gone......middle of paper......sic has a variety of colorful backgrounds; so music exists and will never stop. Some people said that music is terrible, especially the rap genre, I totally disagree with that because music is great in many ways, it can be an expression of an artist's life and how it reflects on people the way they they grew up. Music can certainly do it. with our feelings in many ways. For example, the lyrics have many meanings behind the music, it's not just about remedy and harmony. Music is the key to understanding other people's lives because they may have the same life experience as you. Music is a very powerful tool, it has changed the world in many ways, it has changed a person's feelings from depression to happiness. In fact, children who study music tend to have larger vocabulary and more advanced reading skills than their peers who do not participate in music lessons...
