Our culture places too much emphasis on popular entertainment. Of course we all need to distract ourselves from time to time, but if we spend a lot of time browsing our favorite websites, watching television, playing video games or updating our social media accounts, we are simply avoiding the more important realities of life. Furthermore, none of these activities help us develop the skills or acquire the knowledge we need to succeed in the real world. Can popular entertainment offer us anything of value, or is it just a worthless distraction? I'm here to say that it can offer us some value. Three reasons why I believe entertainment can offer us value is that it can be used for family issues or simply for family nourishment. My second reason is that it can tell you about daily life and what's wrong in the news or in the sports center. But even many families who don't have a television or an account on social networks can get information. Which leads me to say that mobile apps are useful.
