The focus of this part of the essay is on leadership style and its detailed characteristics. Leadership style is defined as the behavior of leaders that focuses on what they do and how they act. Humans' fundamental beliefs and assumptions about their natural work habits define our leadership style. In life the leader can be chosen by the organization, by the entrepreneur or by a group of people who believe in his leadership. It is determined by: innate qualities, situation (peace - war), nature of the task and characteristics of the group (the nature of the group, positions in the group). There are many different leadership styles that can be exhibited by leaders in political, business, or other fields. According to 20th century research on leadership styles, conducted by psychologists Lewin, Lippitt and White, we distinguish 3: authoritarian, democratic and laissez-faire. Psychologists conducted a study whose purpose was to determine which style has the greatest impact on work efficiency, the level of job satisfaction and intercompany relations. Regarding efficiency, autocratically led groups performed best in terms of quantity of work, but quality was higher in democratically led groups. In the autocratic style there were signs of increasing aggression, which was sometimes directed against the weaker or newer members of the group (scapegoat syndrome). On the other hand, freely targeted groups often occurred with the spontaneous emergence of informal leaders starting with an autocratic leadership management style. Lewin, Lippitt and White stated that the leader who adopts the specific approach procedure is able to produce a specific group climate and leadership style. 3.1 Authoritarian leadership...... half of the document ...... and for the simple fact of assuming leadership positions. Regarding leadership, we decided on cohesion, flexibility and the ability to build adequate contact with subordinates, thanks to which we will be able to manage them effectively. Employees want to follow the leader, paying attention to his comments because then they will be motivated to work more efficiently and effectively. However, it should be remembered that whether a manager is considered a leader depends mainly on his skills, understanding of others and also on the specific way of giving commands. A good leader sets requirements and shows a consequence in pursuing the goal. He also has to show his human nature when he is kind and cheerful with the people in the group. A good leader must be able to listen and understand them, demonstrating that their opinion is as important as other business issues.
