The series is about four selfish friends who run Paddy's Pub; a relatively unsuccessful neighborhood Irish pub in Philadelphia, struggle to find their way in the world of work and adult relationships. Unfortunately, their distorted opinions and poor judgments often land them in trouble, creating an endless supply of uncomfortable situations that usually get worse before they get better. In this episode, Dennis and Dee quit their jobs due to Frank's constant interference and choose to pursue their dreams, but when Mac reminds them that unemployment will eventually end, Dennis and Dee become addicted to crack so they can apply social assistance. Unfortunately, for Dennis and Dee the plan doesn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Frank hires two developmental workers under the "Work for Welfare" program and Charlie and Mac go on a spending spree with the money in Frank's secret bank account that he opened for him and Charlie.
