(Ecclesiastes 8:11) Time and Chance In Ecclesiastes 8:14 the Bible clearly states: “There are righteous men to whom it happens according to the work of the wicked; once again there are wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous.' To paraphrase another verse from Ecclesiastes, simply put, "it is not a runner's speed that wins him the race, or his skills that win him favor, nor riches for intelligent men but "time and the case "happens to everyone". ' So, I don't think the question is, "why do bad things happen to good people?" I think the questions are, “what should I do in this situation?” or “How do I react or respond to this tragedy?” 'What is God using this situation to say?
