As I walk through the grocery store, it seems like the headline of every magazine has a story on the topic of someone getting divorced or cheated on. There is no point in spending thousands of dollars on a wedding if the marriage will only last three years. People know before they get married that they agree to be bound together for the rest of their lives. No one takes marriage seriously anymore, which makes people, like me, lose interest. Organizing a large ceremony to represent mutual commitment, only to be interrupted a few years later is a waste of time. I could save thousands of dollars and hours of my time by choosing to remain spouseless and I would still be able to make it in life
