The assault rifle controversy is one of the most problematic issues related to the contribution of gangs, drug traffickers and most criminal activities. In most cases, criminals have access to the weapons of their choice more easily than they should. By purchasing them from authorized dealers, black markets, and family homes, the availability of these militia weapons has become too easy to obtain. Increased criminal activity is one reason more than a third of high school students have easy access to a gun or gun. “Four out of five guns brought to school are actually brought from home” (Page par 2). This is one of the biggest problems when it comes to knowing where criminals get their guns. They steal them from relatives' homes, ask to borrow them, or steal them from licensed sellers. There are many ways people can obtain guns. People who shouldn't be able to purchase a firearm can, and illegal transactions are also a big problem with criminals getting their guns. For all these reasons this is why the government should require restrictions on gun ownership to protect society, prevent crime and allow recreational use. Assault weapons have been labeled the number one source of mass murder in America. The idea that a gun that can fire a large amount of bullets at a remarkable velocity could be used for recreational use has been thought about differently. These types of weapons were made for a reason and that was to eliminate as many people as possible and to make it happen in a reasonably quick time. The problem is everywhere and to help control the problem, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence is the largest national organization committed to enacting and enforcing gun... middle of paper... laws that protect society. They must understand that bans and laws work and that they must be enforced more strictly so that the nation's people can feel safe and protected. The nation brought many new ideas to try to solve the problem of illegal gun sales and gun traffickers. They have provided legislative gun control bills, rejecting the legalization of fully automatic weapons in this country to keep all citizens safe. All of the proposals introduced by the legislation do an excellent job of monitoring the sale and purchase of guns that should not be bought and sold. If the country wants us to be safe and protected by our government, it needs to know that assault weapons bans and laws work and save the lives of the American people and that cooperation with them is needed so that the bans and laws can remain strict. and strong.
