Pros and cons for citizensThe president has stated on several occasions that people could keep their insurance plan if they wanted. However, this was not the case, as millions of citizens saw their insurance canceled due to the Obamacare rules(13). Obamacare is administered by the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), composed of 15 unelected bureaucrats elected by the president to reduce costs. health care costs (14). Obamacare thus cut the capricious costs of health insurance by creating intense competition among insurance companies, thus giving Americans easy access to health care. However, many private insurance companies have closed because they were unable to meet Obamacare standards, leading some to unemployment. Furthermore, these bureaucrats representing the government make healthcare decisions on behalf of citizens and based on this they possess people's confidential medical history and personal information that was previously confidential. They decide which treatments are considered economically advantageous and which hospitals must deny or accept, thus depriving citizens of the right to privacy and the right to decide how and which medical services to provide them(14), in addition to the risk of paying a fine for those than refusing to get health insurance. Pros and cons for access and the doctor-patient relationship Patients can walk into the doctor's office, have access to hospital care without the fear of being ignored based on the type of insurance they have or charged more for a visit to the doctor visit in-network under the Obamacare health insurance standard.
