Topic > A Reflection on Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week went for the most part successfully and was a really great experience in terms of leadership skills. I used many different styles and took the mistakes I made at parents' open night and tried to improve. There were many positives and negatives and many things to improve for next time, but that is to be expected. Say no to plagiarism. My group and I were coming up with statistics on bullying, which was pretty simple, so doing research and knowing who was doing what was pretty easily definable. I had to make the announcement for the group and this was one of the roles I was assigned, it went well even though I was nervous while speaking because I would be listened to by everyone in the school, but it made me more confident in speaking. The other members of my group also had roles like who would ask the kahoot questions and the pictures, but in the end everyone knew what they were doing, so in the end it all came together and was successful. Some negatives that occurred were related to time management. Everyone knew what they were doing, but we didn't use our time effectively during the week. Most of us left work until the last minute and started to panic even though we had a lot of time to prepare, we just didn't use it effectively. For example, when it came to putting everything on the Bristol board, we weren't sure what should go in each section or how it should be laid out, which led to unnecessary conflict. The leadership styles I used were primarily authoritarian in all group work. I did this because when it came to the final parts of putting everything on the Bristol board and how it would be laid out, I had ideas that I made sure were heard. Everyone wasn't sure where everything should be placed, but I took the initiative and came up with it myself and presented it to my group in an authoritative manner. Ultimately this got the job done, which was all that really mattered. When we were in the Matrix, I mostly ran the kahoot in the mess hall and it was fine. It was really successful from what I thought and I think I did a good job managing it as I had to kick out people with inappropriate names and I had to make sure everything was working well and tell people to join us. Keep in mind: This is just an example. Get a custom paper from our expert writers now. Get a Custom Essay Overall, there were more positives than negatives during Anti-Bullying Week. I feel that I have improved significantly compared to before and that I have taken feedback from previous presentations and applied my knowledge sufficiently. This was a group project, so there were variations on the leadership styles used compared to when I was alone during the Grade 8 tour. It was a great experience and I look forward to the next one.
