IndexIntroduction Daydreaming and Pseudo-realityConclusionIntroduction Pseudo-reality is an approach in which a modified image of reality is represented as true. Pseudo-reality is an apparent reality that is a dissolution. It is also known as pseudorealism in art. The pseudo-reality throughout this project is related to zoning, distancing and the challenge of finding the balance between reality and dreams. This informative essay explores the concept of daydreaming and pseudo-reality, examining the challenge of finding the balance between reality and dreaming. Say no to plagiarism. Find out what reality is and how we perceive it? Is it really what we see in front of us or is our mind inventing a false scenario? Daydreaming and Pseudo-Reality As humans, it is normal to experience dreams while we sleep, but dreams can also occur in our everyday lives. It happens when our mind gets distracted and we lose track of time. Then our minds travel far, into a false reality. Some of the false realities presented may be a pleasant and comforting world, a favorite world. Everything is possible here. In other words, they can represent everyday scenarios, but with a twist. A turning point, such as a vacation spot or a place we have physically traveled to before. Other fictional settings include fairytale kingdoms and altered technological universes where anyone can be and do whatever they want. On the other hand, some of the fake scenarios we experience can also lead to experiencing a third-person view. This is more of a negative experience as it feels like you are looking at the situation through a glass. This experience causes the person to become so distracted that it is very unpleasant and difficult to stop. Fairy tales are an example of where dreams might lead, as fairy tales have been incorporated into our culture and have spanned centuries as narratives. Fairy tales can vary depending on the person's tastes and understanding. They can draw inspiration from movies, books or podcasts. The artists of this project are Kat Fedora, Trippy Draws and Robert Longo. The influence of similar styles means that they all fit perfectly into my project. Kat Fedora's work is based on dreams and a favorite world. His artistic style connects to an altered reality that mixes and matches with space and fairytale landscapes. His paintings tell stories about the place where the mysteries of the universe gently meet nature and humanity. Furthermore, Trippy Draw's art focuses on the psychedelic side, where reality and dream come together. Her work, featuring bright, bold colors with little detail, shows how simple it is to create art using only paint and glitter. The physical side of his art is based on outer space, related to astronauts, aliens and planets. Finally, Robert Longo's art focuses primarily on the movement of the body. The people photographed had to jump and pose, so they represented the series of city men portrayed by Robert Longo. Because he made black and white photographs, it connects to the astronauts I made throughout the project because of the black and white colors and jumping body poses. Representing reality through reflections on mirrors is a connection to what we know as reality from our point of view. Looking at ourselves through a mirror is the only time we can see the perception of our true self in real time. The reflection in the mirror is caused by thereflection of light bouncing into the eyes. This way we can see ourselves in the mirror. The reflection in the mirror is an important point in this project, since it is how we see reality and understand it. It is the way our brain works to place us in the most realistic and pleasant environment, where humans can thrive and learn throughout their lives. Connecting dreams to reality means connecting them to space, how to distance ourselves from the real world and understand what is happening to us in that moment. Dreaming doesn't only happen when you sleep; it can also happen in our daily activities. It's when our brain, in a sense, becomes foggy and stops working. During this period, everything that happens is not taken into account, so amnesia is a side effect. During this time, our brain runs away and we are left with the sensation of an out-of-body experience. This experience can last hours or even days. In most cases, one can never remember what happened or where the brain shut down during this experience, but in some cases the dream has been said to occur. From this experience negative and positive dreams arise. Astronauts are a resource and tool that I used throughout my project as a metaphor to explain the challenges of pseudo-reality from a personal point of view. The astronauts are sent into space, to a very lonely place where time seems to slow down compared to Earth. They are isolated from their friends and families on earth. They represent dissociation and spacing into an external universe throughout the project. During this project, I drew them in different positions that convey different meanings. They are the closest metaphors I could ever use to represent dissociation, so the meanings behind their positions are crucial to understanding the project. First of all, color is a key point, since it is only black and white. These two colors represent the meaning of simplicity. They balance each other perfectly so that the drawn figure stands up on its own. The use of colors wasn't very relevant as these two colors make a bold statement on their own. Furthermore, the poses in which the astronauts assume emphasize the scheme of this project. From carrying the world on your shoulders, just like Atlas in Greek mythology, to punching or meditating between the planets, it all shows how dissociation happens. Carrying the world on your shoulders means having the weight of all judgments, criticisms and ideas about how the world works on your shoulders as a guideline for how you should act. This is a heavy load that we all carry around. Additionally, being physically and mentally ill can take a toll on your body and put a limit on how much you can handle on your own. Another metaphor I used in this project is the phases of the moon. This metaphor is related to space and is used in the same context as astronauts. Their meaning is the passage of time and calling what is happening at that moment a phase. The way the moon changes each month and goes through the different eight phases of the moon when we dissociate our emotions, they have a similar cycle. As people, our emotions are constantly changing. Even during a single day, we may experience different moods. This way we can show the people around us how we feel in that moment without the use of words. After all, dissociation isn't that different from the phases of the moon. It begins when the brain shuts down and then travels, experiencing all kinds of emotions and images created. It's like traveling and finding the right path to take. After that experience, it is very difficult to remember and put into words what exactly happened. When this happens,.
