Being or feeling different from the other kids around me was the last thing I wanted. For some strange reason, I imagined high school was like in the movies. From that image, I didn't want to have any part of the bad side of the years, which basically meant I didn't want to be judged or looked at strangely while walking down the halls. Starting from my freshman year to senior year, it was all about looks. Most of the students I hung out with focused heavily on their appearance in designer clothes. Being clueless, I conformed to these students and did the same. The hard earned money I saved from my parents was wasted on clothes and sneakers I didn't even have
