We are constantly surrounded by technology, but are we too dependent on computers? I must say that people in today's society are too dependent on computers. Computers have many positive things to offer society, but sometimes they can prevent people from experiencing or doing the things that really matter. One of the things we depend on a computer for is basic research. The computer allowed anyone to browse the Internet for useful resources and information. This eliminated the need to go to a public library and find information in printed books (Does society depend on computers?). People no longer have to find their own answers, they just have to type them into any search engine and find what they are looking for. This has led to many students becoming lazy in their class work. They think, “Why do the work when the computer can do it for me?” The computer was created to serve as a giant calculator, and people still use it as such. Math students no longer have to solve their own problems. There are so many math sites on the internet that will solve the problem that will take away from learning anything (How Computers Changed the World). Students have become very dependent on computers and if they no longer use them they will have more work to do in class. Computers are no longer trapped in offices or homes, they are more portable than they have ever been. On the windows of many restaurants and public buildings we can see the wifi symbol in bold letters. Some people can't even leave home without their devices or computers. It seems that their interest in socializing with society has decreased. If a person can't leave their house without their computer, then that just shows... middle of paper... conversation with people, kids will act more like kids, and people should actually learn and find the answers yourself. When you think about the idea of ​​no computers, you can only think of the negative things that could happen. It just shows how dependent we have become on this device. It was created to make things easier and it did so much more. Computers have had a positive and negative effect on society. They allowed society to grow, but they also made people too dependent on them. Some people can't go a day without it and it has become more and more of an addiction. Many people don't even use computers for research or business, they use them more for entertainment. When computers become more important, then it could become a problem. Technology will continue to advance and grow, and society will soon be completely dependent on it.
