Speech on redefining a newspaper Hello and welcome to the presentation of our plans to redefine the term newspaper. Teenagers and young adults are bored with typical newspapers that talk about the same thing every day, for example Tony Blair and the House of Commons are front page news. Our goal is to introduce a unique style of tabloid journalism that we hope will encourage future generations to know what is happening in the world we live in. To make this newspaper more attractive we are adding some layout ideas and writing style of what we see in magazines. This will make reading easier and more interesting. “Boring” articles will have color images next to or near them to make them more interesting. Color quality on more interesting items will not always be as bright as it could be; this is to reduce production costs. Some images will also appear in black and white, these will be images that aren't necessarily that important and don't need to be there to support the article they're next to. The name of our newspaper would be NEWzine™, as you probably guessed, it's a mix of the words newspaper and magazine. We chose this name not only because it is different, but because our newspaper will be a mix of newspaper and magazine. Our main production base will be in London, in the same factory as the other newspaper we currently run. Since we will only put this sheet into print twice a week, this means that no production time will be wasted on the other sheet because it will only be printed at times when the other sheet is not printing and is still being prepared . Also having the factories in the same place means that transports of documents can be sent together instead of further polluting the environment and adding to the already congested roads in Britain.
