The myth of Andrea's first love is a story of the things anger drives a person to do and the power it gives someone. As one of the many daughters of Zeus and Hera, Andrew was young, beautiful, and wealthy. She lived on Mount Olympus with her handmaiden in a beautiful palace made of gold and exquisite carvings, donated by Hestia. There was never anything that made her special among her many other brothers and sisters. He didn't have a hundred hands, powers or talents. Zeus thought he might be as mortal as his other 32 sons who became leaders of several states in Greece. But he felt it was impossible because he knew that the mother was Hera, queen of the gods and immortal. When Andrea was two years old, she crawled into the garden and noticed a beautiful purple and pink flower. He wanted it, so he tried to pull the roots of the flower, but it wouldn't come out of the ground. Her little hands couldn't exert enough strength to pull the flower, so she started crying. Her tears ran down her face and soon turned to anger at the flowers for not coming out of the ground. His face turned pale, his eyes were red and with one look at the flower he made every petal fall off and turn into pure ash. Gaea, goddess of the earth, was shocked by Andrew because she had never seen a child like Andrew before. She felt a little angry at the child for killing her plants, but she didn't do anything knowing he was so young. From that day, Zeus realized the power Andrew possessed and made sure he grew up without feelings of pain or sadness. She was given everything she wanted and was never questioned until the day she experienced her first love. Andrea had long, beautiful light red hair and never wore it without a purple and pink...... middle of paper...... in the eyes of her lover and the maid of whom she was so jealous with anger and them turned to ash. She could never forgive them nor could she forgive herself for committing such a sin. From that day on, she sat in her room in her palace all alone and never went out, as she continued to relive the events that had happened to her in her mind. Even the god Apollo, the god of prophecy, music and healing, could not heal his pain with his bow. The anger never left her and she could never forget what had happened to her. Andrew was banished from Mount Olympia and sent to the underworld where she became the goddess of anger. He brought anger into the world and his story teaches that too much anger is bad and if you can't deal with it you will be trapped by it forever. A red eye full of anger and pain is usually used to symbolize her and in many images she has a scar on her forehead.
