"I am 17 years old. I had an abortion a month ago. My story is not tragic. No one made me have an abortion. It's just me and my mother in the house. My father doesn't has ever been in the picture. I broke the news to my mother, and she gave me every option and said that whatever I chose, she would support me” (“Abortion Story”) in all 50 states. Studies show that the abortion rate has dropped to its lowest point since it became legal (Sandhya). This is a great statistic, but unfortunately there are still women who continue to have abortions in the United States (United States) it is a necessary act. abortion should be banned in all trimesters, not just the second and third trimesters. It should also be illegal because of the health risks it could have on a woman's future, and women can choose a safe alternative instead. The final reason why it should be illegal is that it could be considered murder. Making abortion illegal is the necessary act. Abortion must become illegal during all three trimesters. Abortion is legal up to the first trimester. Instead of making abortion during the first trimester legal, it should simply be outlawed as a whole. The first trimester corresponds to the first three months of pregnancy. Since abortion is legal during the first trimester, the carrier of the baby can abort within this time period. After that it is considered illegal. During the first trimester, the baby begins to develop. The first trimester is the beginning of a small baby. By the end of the first trimester the baby will develop the basic components of a human body, such as hands that contain fingers and feet that contain toes... middle of paper... nd to the fact that it could be considered murder .
