Bill Clinton once said, "People will learn to value themselves by what they are on the inside, to value themselves by what they are on the inside, instead of what they wear" on the outside , our public schools should be able to require students to wear school uniforms.” Public schools across America are trying to improve safety, school belonging and even help parents save money and students save time preparing. One way to improve these problems would be to implement a uniform policy. Adopting school uniform policies will achieve what public schools across America are seeking. Potential benefits of school uniforms include decreasing violence and threats. Some cases involving designer clothes and expensive shoes have led to life-threatening situations among students. Hannah Boyd says: "Now that children are being robbed for their designer clothes and expensive trainers, school uniforms seem like a safer alternative for many." “It's tragic when young people without a balanced upbringing, without ingrained values, without a secure education, end up believing that it's okay to kill someone for a pair of sneakers, jewelry or a designer jacket,” Clinton said, quote recent episodes of violence by adolescents. With school uniforms students won't get ripped off for their designer clothes and expensive trainers because everyone is wearing the same thing and won't be jealous of what others have. Uniforms help get rid of bullies who want to beat up someone because they dress a certain way or because they don't have what others have.
