The original and wildly popular chicken sandwich, made only by Chick-fil-A, requires no fancy ingredients; However, it requires the right ingredients and a precise process. Almost every time I tell someone I work at Chick-fil-A I hear in response, "I love that place." This to me is very reassuring that they are doing something right. The Chick-fil-A sandwich has been made the same way for the past forty-six years. Even if it only consists of a few steps, if one is not done correctly it can change the entire outcome. Three years ago I was introduced to the process of making this one-of-a-kind sandwich. Now I would like to share this process with you. The Chick-fil-A sandwich was first invented by Truett Cathy in 1964 in the kitchen of his restaurant, the "Dwarf Grill". It started as a simple menu add-on, but its popularity quickly grew and its potential was evident. When you follow the actual process of making a ready-to-eat Chick-fil-A sandwich, it takes two days. The chicken used comes from the same suppliers since the beginning of the business. Each package contains six six-pound bags of frozen fillets. Once a new package of fillets is needed, it will be taken out of the freezer and prepared for defrosting. You will need to break down the case and place two six-pound bags on a tray. The tray is then placed in a specially designed defrosting cooler. In this refrigerator the temperature is constant at forty degrees and the fillets will remain here for about eight to ten hours. Chicken is a boneless, all-white meat chicken breast that is pre-weighed and lightly seasoned. Once the chicken breast has been weighed and checked to make sure it is the right size, it is trimmed of fat and filleted, opened...in the center of the paper...to sit back and enjoy the tasty original chick. -fil-A chicken sandwich. The simpler the product, the better and this chicken sandwich is proof of that. All you need is a good idea, good ingredients and a product that you can produce with the same quality every time. Thanks to my experience, anyone can do it. You don't need any elaborate training. All you need is self-discipline to ensure that every time you make this sandwich, you follow the above process from start to finish. One of my favorite comments I hear from customers is that no matter what time of day or day of the week they arrive, they always receive the same quality sandwich. Now that you're familiar with this process, you won't have to wonder what's so original about the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, but you'll definitely enjoy every bite..
