The daily grind of a nine-to-five job sitting behind a computer screen is just not where I want to be at this point in my life. The “bigger picture” of eventually becoming a pediatric nurse definitely doesn't make me stay in this job. Don't get me wrong, the company I work for is a more than excellent company. The company is a hospice company that strives for excellence. The response from the patients and families the company helps is enough to keep anyone working, but there are still many moments that made me want to quit my job. Those moments become more frequent as the days pass. The travel here and there, the preparation for meetings, the constant daily pressure from every side, the huge amount of underestimation from the higher ups and the daily feeling of not fitting in are enough to make someone want to leave. I'm certainly not one who likes to travel but the company covers a 50 mile radius around the office so traveling is part of the job. Whenever I have traveled in the past I always had someone to guide me. So having a job like that ...
