Throughout our lives, our body is subjected to stress. Whether it's waking up in the morning after staying up late or learning about the death of a loved one, stress is part of our daily routine. Scientists have conducted numerous studies examining different stressors and the effects they have on the human body. Our bodies have unconsciously developed their own ways of dealing with stressors in our lives. Stress is an everyday occurrence, but sometimes the body struggles to deal with it adequately and becomes depressed due to the lack of motivation we experience. We face stress every day and may not even realize it. Stress is the body's response to any demands made on it that present themselves as threatening or demanding. There are two different types of stress: eustress and distress. Eustress is thought to be beneficial stress, such as running or cycling, as long as it is moderate exercise. Distress is unpleasant and is linked to negative emotions. Stress is inevitable in life because it would mean a total absence of stimulation, also known as death. Stress can arise from many things in our lives. For example, catastrophic events are known as chronic stressors, which include death, war, birth, divorce, etc. Other stressors include work stress, conflicts, and the hassles of daily life. Our body's natural reaction when experiencing stress is known as coping. Coping is our body's attempt to manage stress in the most effective way that varies between different stressors. There are two main forms of coping: emotion-focused and problem-focused. Emotionally focused forms of coping focus on a reaction to the stressor; while problem-focused forms of coping focus on the stressor itself and how to deal with it.
