Unfortunately, it is difficult for all children to receive the same learning experiences in the United States. Stewart (2012) and Ripley (2013) argue for the transformation of the US education system. Stewart (2012) discusses in great detail how several countries have changed their education systems to benefit all children and urges the United States to do something similar but in the context of the country's culture. Although Ripley (2013) does not agree with all practices of high-achieving countries, he does recognize some good strategies the United States should adopt. Finally, Schwartz (2014) wants all students in the United States to have the opportunity to succeed by renewing vocational education. This is important because the ability to receive highly effective vocational training could give all students the chance to learn more about something they are interested in and a possible career.
