Topic > Johann Sebastian Bach - 1458

Johann Sebastian Bach was born into a family of musicians. It was natural for him to pick up an instrument and excel at it. His father taught him to play the violin and harpsichord at an early age. All of Bach's uncles were professional musicians, one of them; Johann Christoph Bach introduced him to the organ. Bach reached a turning point in his life when both his parents died at the age of ten. Bach's older brother, Johann Christoph Bach, took him in and immediately expanded his knowledge in the world of music. She taught him to play the clavichord and exposed him to the great composers of the time. At the age of fourteen, Bach and his good friend George Erdmann received a choral scholarship to the prestigious St. Michael's music school in Luneburg. From that moment on, Bach began to build his career in the music industry. In her first two years at school she sang in the school's a cappella choir. Historical evidence has shown that Bach at a young age visited the Johanniskirche and listened to the works of organist Jasper Johannsen. This was thought to be the inspiration for Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Studies at the prestigious music school helped Bach make his way and meet some of the best organists of the time such as Georg Böhm and Johann Adam Reincken. Thanks to his acquaintance with Böhm and Reincken Bach he had access to some of the largest and finest instruments. Shortly after graduating from St. Michaels, Bach began working as a court musician, although he had nothing to do with playing musical instruments. After working for some time as a court musician he managed to find work playing the organ at the local church of S. Some of the comments made on the original video are as follows: “haha awesome. a king once complimented Bach on his fantastic skill and he responded with something like "Oh, it's easy, you just press all the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself" haha”, “WOW !! It looks like you would need 5 hands to play this song!!!! Brilliant!" and "even with today's technology... it's pleasant compared to hearing it played on a real pipe organ... the notes don't float together like JS Bach intended... nice work... but still pleasant. ..".References:" Johann Sebastian BACH."
