Woodcock Johnson III Diagnostic Reading Battery Review and Test CritiqueAbstractThe report will analyze the Woodcock Johnson III Diagnostic Reading Battery (WJ III DRB) and compare my report with the Mental Measurement Yearbook (MMI). The assessment will include evaluation, in relation to the WJ III DRB of Woodcock et al. (1989), on the description and purpose of such tests along with the ease of use, administration and discontinuation of results based on the conversion of raw scores to standard scores, including analyzing the results. Finally, evaluate the overall quality of the test. Introduction of Woodcock Johnson III standardized diagnostic reading tests referenced to BatteryNorm (NRST) used for various administrations over the decades. The NRST classifies individuals. Highlight differences in achievement between students to develop reliable scores. In school systems, NRSTs help identify students for remedial programs. The United States Congress, Office of Technology Assessment (1992), establishes a standardized test that uses (NAGC - ED Norm- and Criterion-Referenced Testing. (nd) (Retrieved from http://www.nagc.org/index. aspx?id=314). Similar procedures for application and scoring to ensure that the results of different people are comparable (Bond, 2010) compares students' performance with other students in large groups. A standardized test such as the NRST will rank students in order from highest to lowest achievers. A valid population must be from the broadest range of the student population. Accordingly, the assessment must also report student achievement status by gender , ethnicity, etc. disability, economic disadvantage, English language proficiency and... middle of paper... WJ III DRB is a quality test that can help examinees better understand examinees' reading skills and identify their weak points. References Stiggins, R. J. ( 1994).
