Baby Boomers and Generation Y Management Style I chose a topic called Demonstrated Generational Characteristics of Baby Boomers and Generation Y Management Style followed by a research survey. As an author, I will try to take a journey through their background, literature review and followed by the conclusion of Baby Boomers and Generation Y. Furthermore, the purpose of the submitted paper is to explore different levels of management for both categories. Baby Boomers and Generation Y Literature Review: People born during World War II demographics between 1946 and 1961 known as Baby Boomers since they helped increase the birth rate during that time frame. According to statistics from Australian history, after the end of the Second World War in 1945, family life resumed after an interruption of almost six people for servicemen and women who had returned from years of wartime conflict. After nine months, Australia saw and felt the sense of the beginning of a population, as the birth rate increased: between 1946 and 1961, more than four million Australians were born. If we look at the statistics of the United States alone, during that period they produced 77 million children, including the largest generation of that time (Mitchell 1995). That time not only increased the demand for consumer goods which also stimulated the post-war economy which was desperately seeking growth for more opportunities. A new market emerged in relation to different countries and backgrounds. People known as Baby Boomers born during this period, period of development, period of change. Baby Boomers have access to new technologies. They were also experimenting with their own trendy clothing styles with the availability of jeans and t-shirts. They were also exposed to Rock n roll music Due to the massive baby boomers...... middle of paper ...... with a flexible approach to adapt key management styles. It is very important for a manager who wants to be successful while dealing with different situations and types of generations or working with a generation gap while working with a diverse group of people to understand the needs, problems and approach of their employeesDifferent work backgrounds cultural people play different roles at a management level, for example comparing Chinese people with Australian people in the work culture space will give us an idea of their needs and job characteristics. Overall, the study on Generation Y and Baby Boomers is very informative. This proves that Generation Y is more sensible than Baby Boomers. This research shows that different authors have different views on Baby Boomers and Generation Y. They have provided a great informative context to have further progress in examining future studies .
