Haunted?! How ridiculous can people get? I had just moved into my new house with my sister Kylie. Just the two of us, from then on it would be like this. A new beginning. Today was my first day at my new school. It wasn't that bad until my teacher asked me to introduce myself in front of the whole class! I didn't mind saying things about myself, but after I said where I lived everyone kept staring at me. I didn't know why and felt quite embarrassed, thinking there was something wrong with the way I looked. That was until people started talking to me. Well they didn't say much, most people said your house is haunted or beware of creatures. I had no idea what they were talking about! When I told Kylie she just said they were being silly and to ignore them. Days passed and people kept giving me strange looks. In fact I didn't care much anymore, I was starting to get used to it. At home I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find anything strange or disturbing. Except just one thing. It was in the garden, a branded headstone, right at the back, no one knew who it was. I always got shivers whenever I was too close, but I didn't think much of it. I just thought that people at school talked about it, when they said that my house was creepy and that the only reason I was scared was because I listened to them. Halloween was approaching, school was all over. People throwing parties or planning where to go trick-or-treating. I didn't feel like going anywhere, especially since everyone was going with their friends and I didn't have any. Nobody wanted to know me, everyone found me scary. The day finally arrived, it was finally Halloween. I... middle of paper... I can't believe she was gone! She simply disappeared in less than a second! I ran inside, closed the door and went up to my room, breathless. It was midnight, I curled up in bed and pulled the duvet over me praying that I was okay, and it wasn't long before Kylie was home. At first I thought it was her again and kept quiet, but after a few minutes Kylie knocked on my door, came to my room and wished me goodnight. I didn't tell anyone about that night, not even Kylie. I knew everyone would think I was crazy. I too started to think if it was real or just my imagination, but I couldn't think that as far as I knew I could never imagine something so beautiful. After all, no one needed to know; maybe if I saw it again I would tell someone. However I didn't, I never saw her again for the rest of my life and I never went to the garden alone again.
