Academic and professional research has given us the ability to learn, understand and constantly continue to seek more knowledge about a specific topic in detail. Currently, we as members of the society are experiencing several social issues which are criminal in nature and which are hampering our safety and peaceful well-being. In this research, I would like to focus on juvenile offenders, both violent and non-violent, and whether it is worth making some rehabilitative efforts to provide them with another opportunity to change their lives? One of the most important issues involved is the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders. violent minors? If there are any, are they effective? What types of rehabilitation programs are available to minors based on gender, crime type, age and other personal information? What alternative sanctions or diversion programs can be given to violent juvenile offenders? criminals? What types of models, such as rehabilitation, treatment, or medical models, would be appropriate for a violent offender? How are success and effectiveness measured? What guarantees are provided by rehabilitation efforts that the public will be safeguarded? Does public opinion support an alternative punishment or rehabilitation for violent minors? So far we have been informed about crimes committed by violent minors from social media, literature, TV news, films, personal circumstances or other sources. One of the immediate factors that will be examined will be the age of the offender. This factor will have great importance in determining what type of court procedure, how the case will be handled and what type of sentence will be issued. Unfortunately, minors…middle of the paper…are children who may have been absent from school or released from school into an unsupervised home due to the employment of one or both parents. According to Gottfredson, D. & Soule, D. (2005), “measurement is part of the operational tool of questioning certain individuals to obtain data, for example questions relating to certain days and times.” Data from different organizations and sources may vary and cause discrepancies or, in other words, the numbers will not match. This could be due to poor record keeping, failure to report, or other factors. Regarding the means of measurement to obtain data, I believe that Gottfredson & Soule's technique can guarantee more accurate and timely data depending on the words of the interviewees. Martin, R. & Legault, R (2005) indicate that “it is important to collect and compare data with fairly good precautions to avoid errors.”
