Women's Responsibilities in the Military: The Right to Fight Many women around the world have great responsibilities in the military, and while some people may disagree , I believe they can handle anything a man can handle when it comes to being on the battlefield. Some people think that women should not be able to fight in the army, while other people think that they should be able to fight in the army. Every supporter and non-supporter has their own reasons. Some of the reasons for non-supporters are due to their gender. They think that because they are women, they cannot face the challenges of being on the battlefield. Women are willing to fight and they know what can happen, they know exactly what can happen. They are willing to fight for their country and I believe they should be able to do so. The men who fight for our country are against the women who fight in combat. They believe that women are not capable of doing what they do to defend and fight for our country. Men feel that they cannot trust women to help them in war simply because they are women. There are some opponents of banning women from fighting in combat who say that having women and men together in war can lead to women accusing men of sexual harassment, and it can happen, and has happened in the past. All the women who fight in war say that it is a problem that persists and does not stop. It happened to a female Navy soldier. She claimed she was sexually harassed by shipmates. She reported a man who wouldn't stop harassing her and then waited for him to be brought to justice. Some people say they've seen commanders "look away" when women report being sexually harassed, which means... middle of the paper... they're military and have been for a long time, so why not? make it official that women can serve in war? Our president influences the decision of women in war. He said, “Today every American can take pride in the fact that our military will become even stronger, with our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters playing a greater role in protecting this country we love.” The significance of this is that women play a very important role in the military, and they are the reason why our military is getting stronger. The Pentagon will officially lift the 1994 ban in 2016. They are giving it three more years because it takes time to make final decisions, even though few decisions have been made since then. 1994 and the ban is lifted more and more each year. Soon, women will officially be able to serve in the military and will have thousands of front-line jobs for them.
