Topic > The Importance of a Fair Trial - 1035

Many judges can become corrupt over the years of service. Most judges start accepting bribes and many different things that will help a party. They have the power of what can be said in their court and what cannot be said. This can make it much easier for them to favor one side or the other. They can also become more arbiters than judges according to John F. Molloy who wrote the book The Fraternity: Lawyers and Judges in Collusion. This book talked about all the different reasons why he believed the justice system was corrupt. It also states that judges will create their own laws based on their own opinions and rulings. Knowing this, how should we believe we will receive a fair trial? They will always side with the defense team or be on your side?
