I chose the Dallas Museum of Art for its wide variety of different art. I loved the museum's vast collections of modern art which I've really gotten into lately. Furthermore, this museum brings different ideas and new cultures of different works of art that I have never had the pleasure of experiencing. My time at the Dallas Museum of Art was better than ever, I got to spend it with my fiancée experiencing something beautiful, it was so exciting. The museum was very large and there wasn't enough time in one day to visit it all. You need real time to get the most out of museums. That's why we plan to return soon to finish examining everything and next time we will bring nieces and nephews. We had so much fun with the arts and crafts area of the museum that you saw so many adults, getting in on the pure fun too. This wasn't my first visit to a museum, my very first museum I ever went to was the Gulf Coast Museum. It had real historical artifacts of Janice Lyn Joplin, Robert Rauschenberg and Jamaal Charles, it was very cool. I had such a great experience that I ended up working there for a year and a half. This was my first time at the Dallas Museum of Art which I plan to visit again soon. The atmosphere of the museum was so welcoming to people who came from far away to see it and it was intimidating because it was so huge. Overwhelming because you wanted to see it all in one day, but it was possible, incredibly beautiful just to experience it. There was so much to learn from this particular museum experience. Security was at a very high pace, but it was so bad where you could stand there or feel uncomfortable seeing them looking at you. You know their job is to make sure that n...... half of the paper ...... point of contact with the ground. I never saw it in the painting, as much as I wanted to see it, I just couldn't. Taking this art appreciation class with such an amazing teacher made me look at art in a broader way. So my experience through the museum exhibitions gave me the chance to understand a culture that I didn't know much about before. I learned why the artist makes art to create places for human purposes. To create extraordinary versions of what is commonly seen and to commemorate moments in life that sometimes an image simply can't capture. The artwork also gives a tangible form of the unknown to feelings and ideas you never thought you could have. Works of art help show us a vision and help us see the world in new ways. Now, thanks to this course I really look for content in works of art and its interpreted topic. I love looking for the message behind a work of art
